Q & A

PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Q: Do you take plastic?

A: Yes! I now offer credit card transaction with square. Additional charges may apply:)

Q: How far do you travel for portrait sessions?

A: 30 miles total are included. Each additional mile is only $.75

Q: How many outfits can I bring?

Your time is yours, but know that the more time you spend changing the less time we will have shooting. That is why the sessions where wardrobe changes are recommended such as engagement and senior portraits are typically longer.

WEDDINGS

Q: How about traveling for weddings?

A: I would love to travel for your wedding! All fees including travel and hotel must be accommodated for. Bride must book a room for me where her guest are staying if necessary .

Q: How long is an engagement session and why should we have one?

A: Engagement session are between 1.5 to 2 hours. They are a great way to get to know your photographer and to start feeling more comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

Q: How early can you start your day?

A: I would perfer to be there for the later half of my bride getting her hair and makeup done before getting dressed.

Q: What if I need to cancel?

A: You would forfeit your deposit. The deposit is used to hold your date that could have been booked by another couple.

Q: Do you use a shot list?

A: I definitely want to know if there is anything happening that makes your wedding unique. Any details thats may have a sentimental meaning to them. A shot you saw in a magazine that you a dying to try. I get that, I was a bride myself;)  But as far as using a script like this: http://weddings.about.com/od/photographer/a/Photogchecklist.htm That is simply not necessary. I Would be staring at a list and setting up shots thats are un-natural and planned. The wedding day has a flow to it that feels like an unchoreographed dance to me and every shot on that list will be captured in its own unique way.  If I have it stuck in my head that I need to get the dress lying over a chair I will miss out on “the shot” that would have came to me creatively. All the details I see will be covered and as much of the real moments as possible will be captured, every wedding is different and every wedding has its own order to events which is why the timeline is so important. I make sure to communicate with the DJ as much as possible to make sure we are always both on the same page at the reception. Trust me, you don’t want to hire a photographer that needs “a list” to capture your wedding:)
